Cindy D’Aoust is President and CEO of Cruise Lines International Association (CLIA). In this role, she oversees the management of global operations and the CLIA leadership teams. Cindy joined CLIA as Executive Vice President of Membership and Operations in December 2014, and has successfully built teams and structures to enhance CLIA’s member services, as well as launched management systems to create efficiencies and more seamless member experiences.
Cindy is a recognized leader in the meetings and travel industry, and has worked in the industry for more than 20 years. Prior to joining CLIA, Cindy served as Chief Operating Officer at Meeting Professionals International (MPI), the largest global meeting planning association in the industry. In that role, she was responsible for global operations, marketing and member deliverables.
Before joining MPI, Cindy worked as the vice president of strategic meetings management for Maxvantage, a strategic alliance between Maritz Travel and American Express Business Travel, one of the largest strategic meetings management companies in the world. In this role, she drove the maximum return on meetings investment and experience for clients. While at Maxvantage, Cindy also held leadership roles in sales, operations and account management.
Cindy has served on various industry and destination advisory boards and has been published in leading industry publications, including The Meeting Professional, Future Pharmaceuticals, Business Travel News, Business Travel World and Travel Weekly, on topics ranging from industry trends and meetings effectiveness to procurement and measurement.
